Rapid tests for detecting protein residues in narrow-lumen endoscopes (M), gastroscopes (E), and colonoscopes (K).
The Wash-Sensor Protein M, E, and K-Plus are rapid protein tests, optimized for the regular inspection of narrow-lumen instruments. With the 2.5-meter-long swab, even extremely long endoscopes, gastroscopes, and colonoscopes can be reliably tested for protein residues.
You receive a ready-to-use, user-friendly test system that minimizes the risk of handling errors. No laboratory equipment or additional tools are required for the test. The Wash-Sensor Protein works without any preparation time and is characterized by its particularly high sensitivity: even 1 microgram of protein is reliably detected.

The application of the Wash-Sensor Protein is quick and easy:
You can read the test result immediately, but no later than 10 minutes. If the original color of the reagent solution does not change, there is no contamination with proteins. A color change from brown to blue is a reliable indicator of protein residues on the tested surface. The more intense the blue discoloration, the higher the level of contamination.
Note: The swab will always turn blue during the evaluation! This is a safety feature to distinguish used swabs from unused ones.
We recommend that you confirm the functionality of the test if you store the reagent vials for an extended period before use. To this end, you will receive a control kit with each Wash-Sensor Protein.
The positive control consists of:
To verify the test, moisten the swab of the positive control and vigorously wipe the red dot on the indicator plate until the test contamination is clearly removed. Immerse the swab in the reagent solution and rinse as thoroughly as possible. If the positive control shows a distinct color change to blue, the functionality of the test is still ensured.
