Description
In dentistry, hollow-body instruments pose a particular challenge for reprocessing. For example, the inner surfaces of instruments such as transmission instruments (handpieces or contra-angles) or suction devices cannot be visually inspected for cleanliness.
With the Wash-Sensor H Dental, Stericop offers you a simple and routine-friendly way to test the reprocessing of hollow-body instruments. Such a test is required for medical device reprocessing according to RKI/KRINKO 2012* (Appendix 3).
Our test system consists of a durable test body made of stainless steel and replaceable indicator discs, which can be reordered separately. Whether you’re using a WD from Miele, Melag, Scican, or other manufacturers—Stericop offers the right adapter for your device.
The test body, with the inserted indicator disc, simulates a lumen instrument contaminated from the inside. The test soil simulates human blood and tissue residue. By running the test in the WD, you can ensure that the cleaning process is functioning correctly.

Application
The application of the Wash-Sensor H Dental is quick and straightforward:
- Unscrew the Wash-Sensor H Dental test body in the middle.
- Insert the indicator disc into the test body with the visible threaded part. Be careful not to touch the red test soil.
- Screw the test body back together completely. Start the cleaning program and let it run fully.
Note: For daily routine testing, the test system only needs to be included with the normal load. Please also follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the correct loading of your WD.
Evaluation
After the cleaning program has finished, open the test body of the Wash-Sensor H Dental and remove the indicator disc.
Caution: The test body may still be hot!
Visually inspect the removal of the red test soil. A correct cleaning process is only confirmed if the red spot has been completely removed.
