Description
With the Steam Sensor S, Stericop offers an indicator system according to DIN EN ISO 11140-1 Type 5 for monitoring sterilization cycles N and S. It is suitable for checking “wet” sterilization cycles, such as in Statim cassette autoclaves, Euroklav, and fast programs. Our test complies with the recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute for the preparation of medical instruments.

Application
The application of the Steam Sensor S is extremely straightforward:
- Place the Steam Sensor S into the sterilization chamber with the load and start the sterilization cycle.
- After the cycle is completed, remove the Steam Sensor S and evaluate it visually.
Evaluation
Check the color change of the indicator using the color chart on the inside of the packaging. A clear change from blue to pink indicates sufficient sterilization of the processed medical products.
To fulfill the legal documentation requirements, you should record the result in the sterilization log. You can then dispose of the indicator.
