Description
To demonstrate the sterilization effect of the Sirona DAC Universal, an indicator type 5 according to DIN EN ISO 11140-1 must be used. Most chemical indicators on the market utilize paper as the carrier material. The paper particles dissolved from the indicator during the cleaning cycle can clog filters, leading to increased maintenance work.
For this reason, we have developed a test specifically for the Sirona DAC Universal with paper-free carrier material. With the SteamSensor DAC, Stericop offers you a cost-effective indicator system.

Application
Clip the SteamSensor DAC into the bracket on the indicator holder and start the cleaning cycle. You can find the detailed procedure in the operating manual of the Sirona DAC Universal.
Evaluation
After completing the cleaning cycle, you can check the indicator for the correct color change. A clear color change from blue to pink indicates sufficient sterilization of the processed medical products. As a reference, you will find a color chart on the lid of the SteamSensor DAC packaging.
To comply with legal documentation requirements, you should record the result in the sterilization log. You can then dispose of the indicator.
